The opening of the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg in 1994 marked the beginning for its highly distinguished collection of contemporary art. Today the museum’s collection as well as its exhibition program enjoys a remarkable international reputation and bestows in its role as a formative cultural feature a far reaching radiance to the city of Wolfsburg.
