The third edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, which takes place from December 2 to 5, 2004, will once again be of exceptionally high quality and rich in excitement. A record number of more than 500 galleries applied for participation, and 97% of last year’s exhibitors reapplied. All the sections of the international art show have been strengthened with a total of 45 newly admitted galleries, which makes the range of participants at this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach even more outstanding than before. “Thanks to the rigorous selection process, the participating galleries are the creme de la creme of the art market. Art Basel Miami Beach has clearly established itself as the number one art fair in America,” comments Samuel Keller, Director of Art Basel Miami Beach. Art Basel Miami Beach is an international art event which combines an art fair with an exciting program of special exhibits, visits to private art collections, and crossover events featuring music, film, architecture and design. At the center of the event are the 190 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and South Africa which will exhibit visual art from the 20th and 21st centuries
