Call for applications for a permanent artistic creation in relation to the construction of a school, children’s play area, and landscaping of a public place (Geneva, Switzerland)

The Contemporary Art Fund of the City of Geneva (FMAC) is launching a call for applications to create an artistic work in the context of the construction of a school and public complex comprising a school, with a gymnastics room and a swimming pool, a children’s play area, a multi-purpose room and high quality public spaces (completion at the end of the summer break 2015).

This invitation is open to all artists, irrespective of nationality or age.

Artists wishing to respond to the call for applications are required to register by downloading the documents relating to the competition on www.ville-geneve.ch/artpublic-chandieu and returning the registration form together with their project file by 16 March 2012.

A jury composed of contemporary art and architecture experts will select 8 to 10 successful candidates on the basis of the files received. These pre-qualified artists will be invited to participate in an ideas contest and to develop their projects.
