Kaleidoscope Project Space presents “An Image,” a group show including works by Bernadette Corporation, Anders Clausen, Roe Ethridge, Harun Farocki, Nikolas Gambaroff, Massimo Grimaldi, David Jablonowski, Oliver Laric, Graham Little, Mathias Poledna, Timur Si-Qin, Lucie Stahl, Ger van Elk, and Ian Wallace.

The exhibition is curated by Kaleidoscope magazine’s editor-in-chief Alessio Ascari and presents a multi-faceted reflection on image-making and how artists have addressed and appropriated modes of image production, post-production, collection and distribution in contemporary culture.

Drawing connections to the groundbreaking experiments of Pop art, photo-conceptualism, and the Pictures generation, the show discusses the politics of images in the present tense, paying special attention to the strategies and dynamics of advertising and the mass media and to the evolved idea of representation in the current digital era.

A publication documenting the exhibited works will accompany the exhibition.

Founded in March 2009 and based in Milan, KALEIDOSCOPE is a platform consisting of an international quarterly of contemporary art and culture, a project space for exhibitions, and an independent publishing house editing books and catalogues. Find out more at www.kaleidoscope-press.com.
