Celebrations have begun for this years 10th anniversary Sydney Art on Paper Fair. The dedication of Director, Akky van Ogtrop, to internationality and quality has guided the significant achievements of the Sydney Art on Paper Fair, since its inception in 1989. Now it continues to be the only one of its kind in the Asia Pacific region and offers a distinctive occasion to buy, market and learn about art on paper.

Sydney Art on Paper Fair is applauded for its deliberately compact size, friendly atmosphere and careful selection. International and Australian exhibitors are invited to participate showing only high quality art works on paper – including photography, drawing, painting, limited editions prints, vintage posters and artist books. The strong representation of galleries, printmaking workshops and art publishers is amplified by the comprehensive and entertaining program of talks, workshops, symposia and tours, which provide up close, personal and professional insights into artists practice and the art world.

The festivities of art on paper this July have infused Sydney with the Art on Paper Fair at its centre. Special programs this year include:
– Commemorative publication of an artists book, Paper Memory an exceptional collaboration of Australian writers and artists
– Symposium – Ritual or Celebration? Contesting the Role of Arts Festivals addresses the geographic impacts of recurring arts events, their traditional meanings, challenges and their future in Australia and abroad. Keynote Speaker: Hedwig Fijen, Director of Manifesta.
– FRESH the emerging artists award
– Artists Book project space
– The Paper Trail 10 satellite exhibitions in regional galleries
