The word PINDORAMA – “land of palm trees” – defines home to the native population of Brazil. ENTRE invites us to come in – to meet and discuss Brazilian contemporary art. By taking up ideas of a trend within Brazilian modern art – namely “Antropofagia”, a vision of cultural revival, pleading for a positive and empathetic form of contact with the Other – the project introduces a cultural practice through an exhibition, films and panels. ENTRE PINDORAMA should be regarded as a stimulation for discussions on dealing with other cultures in the cultural circles of Western countries.
