This program seeks the way to presents not the reproduction of the artwork but the actual work itself directly to the audiences through the mass-media. To realize this, CHANNEL_0 quotes the concept of BROADCASTING and the TV and INTERNT network.

13 artists and artist units will present their works using the time frames of 1 minutes, 2 minutes and 5minutes in the CATV network. Normally these time frames are assigned to the Commercial Message which are inserted between local variety show, local news, TV shopping programs and cooking show etc.

The whole program structure can be seen as a plan of the building. Each existing programs will serve as several given elements of the building, such as lights, walls, ceiling, corridor. These programs will give a certain effect to each pieces spatially and temporarily and function as a context for viewer’s interpretations.

On the Internet, real time image of a screen on a TV monitor installed in a private room, captured by the web-camera, will broadcast the CHANNEL_0. But the image on the screen can be changeable by the viewer, according his viewership. It means that you cannot always satisfy your demands through this V.O.D. system.

As a result, the exhibition can be viewed on the Internet will be restructured by this viewer’s operation such as On and Off the power, selection of the channel and changing the image source to VHS or DVD.
