2002 SculptureCenter Prize Exhibition

The SculptureCenter Prize is given annually to a talented yet under-recognized New York artist.

Jimbo Blachly will exhibit a new body of work based on natural wells and springs of New York City, exploring aspects of landscape, natural history, and time.

From Clay Club to SculptureCenter: A Timeline

This exhibition traces SculptureCenter’s history from an artist’s studio in Brooklyn in 1928 to the future, including a model for the new building addition designed by Maya Lin. Highlights from past programs and activities will be documented through primary source documents, photographs, and artifacts.

Patrick Killoran: Glass Outhouse

The Glass Outhouse is a portable toilet constructed of a transparent plastic with a one-way mirrored exterior. After its debut at SculptureCenter on December 14th, the Glass Outhouse will be sited at locations around Long Island City throughout the spring and summer.
