Momenta Art presents its sixth annual benefit to support its ongoing mission to exhibit the work of emerging and underrepresented artists. A $150 ticket guarantees you a work of art and entrance for two to the silent auction and raffle drawing held at White Columns on March 16. Tickets are limited to 134! Please call 718.218.8058 in advance to reserve your tickets.

Some of the artists participating in this year’s benefit raffle will include Jesse Bransford, Francis Cape, Patty Chang, Seong Chun, Lucky DeBellevue, Coco Fusco, Aunrico Gatson, Wayne Gonzales, Dan Graham, Oliver Herring, Jon Kessler, Peter Krashes, Louise Lawler, Robert Longo, Rachel Lowther, Marlene McCarty, John Miller, David Opdyke, Jack Risley, Amy Sillman, Guy Richards Smit, Michael Smith, Fred Tomaselli, and Alan Wiener.

There will also be a silent auction featuring works by Katherine Bernhardt, Roe Ethridge, Robert Gober, Craig Kalpakjian, Joseph Kosuth.

Momenta will present 134 works by both emerging and known artists on display at our gallery in Brooklyn, NY. During this period, tickets will be sold for $150. each( 10% discount to artists) until all the tickets are sold. Then the work will be re-installed at White Columns located at 320 W 13th Street in Manhattan, March 12 through March 16, where the raffle drawing and party will be held.

The first randomly drawn ticket will give the holder first choice of one work displayed. The drawing will continue until all tickets are drawn.

Momenta Art is a not-for-profit exhibition space whose mission is to promote the work of emerging artists through two person shows, allowing artists separate project rooms and the distinct opportunity to present a substantial body of work. For most of these artists, this is their first opportunity to exhibit in New York outside of a group show. For each exhibition we publish a newsletter which lists other local galleries while providing further information about the work exhibited in our project rooms. This newsletter also contains a map of art spaces in the area, so for those unfamiliar with Williamsburg, Momenta is an excellent first stop in Brooklyn.

Momenta Art is located at 72 Berry Street, ground floor, between N9th and N10th Sts. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. By subway, take the L train to Bedford stop (the first stop in Brooklyn). Exit on the Bedford side. Walk one block towards the river to Berry Street. Make a right on Berry Street and continue 2 1/2 blocks. By car, take the outside lane of the Williamsburg Bridge to the first exit. Make a sharp right onto Broadway. Drive 2 1/2 blocks to Berry Street and make a right. Continue for approximately 10 blocks.
