The SSAS 2016 courses are as follows:

In conjunction with SSAS 2016, Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina will open the Museum of American Art in Prishtina and Salon De Fleurus.

The Museum of American Art is an educational institution dedicated to assembling, preserving and exhibiting memories primarily on the Museum of Modern Art in New York and its International Program of Circulating Exhibitions of American art.

Salon de Fleurus is an artwork, a contemporary reconstruction of Gertrude Stein’s Parisian salon that existed at 27 rue de Fleurus from 1904–34. It is a work that displays and references a story of modern art’s beginnings through one of the first gathering places for burgeoning young artists such as Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Stein herself.

SSAS is a project by Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina initiated in collaboration with The Academy for Visual Arts (AVA), Ljubljana implemented in partnership with Museum of American Art in Berlin, Independent Curators International (ICI), New York, press to exit, and ArsAevi.

Main supporters of SSAS 2016 are ERSTE Foundation, The Austrian Federal Chancellery, Trust for Mutual Understanding, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kosovo and Kosova Foundation for Open Society.

SSAS 2016 is also supported by Culture for All - Phase III, Municipality of Prishtina, Independent Curators International, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Austrian Embassy in Pristina, AMM, X-Print and DZG.
