$100,000 of Contemporary Art; Priceless Art Experiences to Benefit Aldrich

On Friday, November 16, The Aldrich will raffle over $100,000 of exemplary contemporary art and auction priceless art experiences with artists like Mark Dion, Ann Hamilton, and Fred Wilson–and you don’t have to be there to win!

The Aldrich Experience is the Museum’s major fundraiser, and will feature a raffle of three collections of art–a five-piece suite of drawings, paintings, or photographs by Aldrich exhibiting artists. A $100 ticket has the potential for an enormous payoff–each collection has been carefully selected by Aldrich curators and donated by the top contemporary artists, galleries, and collectors of our day. Limited tickets! Good odds! Only 1,000 tickets will be printed for each collection.

The Aldrich Collections include works by: Sebastiaan Bremer, Claire Corey, Marti Cormand, Michael De Feo, Olafur Eliasson, Anna Gaskell, Jane Harris, Bill Jacobson, Damian Loeb, Kerry James Marshall, Barry McGee, Catherine Opie, Gary Panter, Shellburne Thurber, and Doug Wada. Visit www.aldrichart.org to preview collections and get dimensions.

The Aldrich Experience will also feature the excitement of a live auction run by Amy Cappellazzo, international co-head of post-war and contemporary art at Christie’s. The Aldrich has collaborated with artists and patrons to create one-of-a-kind art experiences. Experience the Dante Marioni Glass Factory and tour a private Seattle art collection with Fred Wilson; fly fish with James Prosek, following which he will create a work based on your catch; enjoy an “archaeological” dig with Mark Dion–after which he will create a work of art based on what you discover; have your portrait taken by Ann Hamilton; discover the private artbarn on Long Island with Serge Spitzer.

Absentee bidding is encouraged!

Sponsored by Danbury Audi, Amanda Martocchio Architecture + Design, and Atelier 4, and other corporate sponsors. To preview the work, buy raffle tickets, obtain an absentee bid form, or for a full list of sponsors, visit www.aldrichart.org
