Applications now open for ARCOmadrid 2014

From ARCOmadrid we want to thank the participants in the last edition, both galleries and guests, who have helped to communicate the good results and opportunities for new projects generated at ARCOmadrid 2013.
The next edition, which will take place from 19 to 23 February 2014, will once again be a meeting point for gallerists, collectors and art critics around the works of the artists present at the fair.
The 2014 edition will count again on the participation of curators in some of its sections, such as Manuel Segade and Luiza Teixeira de Freitas, in the #Opening programme, which is dedicated to young galleries. Leevi Haapala will select the galleries of the guest country for #FocusFinland, while #SoloProjects Latin America will also rely on the collaboration of curators who will be exploring the reality of that continent. All of them will contribute towards a greater awareness of new artistic scenes and interact with the professionals who attend the Forum and #ARCOmeetings.
ARCOmadrid is also expanding the International Collectors Programme, advisors and museum guests, initiatives that have now become hallmarks of the fair. International presentations have already begun with a view to preselecting new interesting visitors who are interested in interact with the galleries.
The 33rd edition will have some new features, in terms of its image and its architectural design, and both will formally translate the concept of an inclusive fair, a fair for discovery, based on quality. The organising committee is working with the galleries, as well as sector professionals, the media and social media network users with this aim in mind.
After finding out what the galleries need, @FeriaARCOmadrid is preparing a more condensed, better-quality fair that requires less effort from the participating galleries. @FeriaARCOmadrid will be a different fair, where galleries will be able to present some of their artists in depth. The Highlighted Artist initiative will evolve, giving an incentive to booths devoted to just one or two artists. Galleries that choose this option will enjoy special economic conditions and be identified in the catalogue and on the map.
