ARTE FIERA

From January 23rd to 26th 2009 the 33rd edition of Arte Fiera Art First – the main reference point for modern and contemporary art in Italy – will be held in Bologna.

Featuring over 200 selected Italian and international galleries, Arte Fiera Art First offers a wide outlook, relating languages and tendencies of various artistic researches, from the XX Century masterpieces to the cutting edge of the latest generations.

Arte Fiera will be located in new exhibition halls – one of them just inaugurated this summer – that can provide museum-like spaces. It will feature along with important confirmations of established galleries like Jérôme de Noirmont and Lelong (Paris), Thaddeus Ropac (Paris-Salzburg), Massimo De Carlo, Lia Rumma and Christian Stein (Milan), Alfonso Artiaco (Naples) a selection of young galleries which are in business not more than 5 years and have been selected for the originality and quality of their artists, like Francesco Pantaleone (Palermo), Monitor (Rome) and Patrick Heide (London).

The attention of Arte Fiera towards the recent developments of the art market and collecting is confirmed this year by the program of lectures which will be held over the four opening days, devoted to all aspects and developments of art collecting in its private and public forms.
