Botín Foundation Visual Arts Grants and art workshop 2013
The Botín Foundation, Spain’s leading private foundation in terms of the scale of its investment, launches a call for the Visual Arts Grants and the art workshop to be directed by Tacita Dean. The call is international in both cases.
International Visual Arts Grants 21st call 2013–2014
These are for study, research and the undertaking of personal projects in the sphere of artistic work and will finalize with the organization of the exhibition Itinerarios and the edition of a catalogue. The call is open to individuals of any nationality with the single requirement of being between the ages of 23 and 40 for the study grants.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 26, 2013, at 2pm. The documents have to be sent in paper to the Botín Foundation in Santander. Works of artists selected in the last edition can be seen in the video of Itinerarios 2011–2012 here.
Tacita Dean workshop
The workshop will be led by British artist Tacita Dean and will be held between July 1st and 12th, at the Villa Iris space, in the North of Spain. The workshop will be conducted in English for a maximum of 15 students. Artists from any nationality can apply. Participants not local residents of Cantabria will be provided with free shared accommodation and 320 euros, which will be paid to them at the end of the workshop. The applications may be submitted online until May 10, 2013.
