An exhibition of Concrete and Neo-Concrete art by two pioneering abstract artists in 1940s and 1950s Brazil. In addition, a series of programs will be held at The Americas Society in conjunction with this exhibition: 

Trans-American Conversations on Art

Monday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m.
A forum moderated by Bruce W. Ferguson; with Francis Alÿs, Ken Lum, Cuauhtémoc Medina, and Kitty Scott. Co-organized by the Canadian Consulate General, New York, the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, The Americas Society, and the Mexican Cultural Institute, New York. This program is part of an on-going series of conversations on trans-national art projects in the Americas.

Neo-Concrete and Abstract Art in Brazil

Wednesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.
A conversation with Paulo Herkenhoff and Lygia Pape, followed by a screening of Sobras em Obras: Geraldo de Barros by Michel Favre. 

When Artists and Cultural Institutions Interact

Thursday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m.
A panel discussion moderated by Norton Batkin; with Andrea Fraser and George Yudice. Presented in collaboration with the Center for Curatorial Studies (CCS) at Bard College, this is a special session of the CCS Conference Curatorial Practice and Criticism in Latin America.
