“AFTER THE CRISIS”

www.textezurkunst.de

Under the title “After the crisis” the new issue of “Texte zur Kunst” gathers essays and conversations that in the aftermath of the recent financial crisis confront the relation between artistic production and spectacular capitalism. A special focus lies on theories of bio-politics, according to which all aspects of life need to be mobilized in order to secure an economically and socially productive existence. Against this backdrop the attempt is made to understand the laws and economies of attention in the crisis-ridden art world as part – if not driving force – of contemporary celebrity culture.

Plus reviews from New York, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Cologne, Karlsruhe, Dresden and Düsseldorf

Exclusive new artists’ editions:
Mary Heilmann, Seth Price, Franz West
