This lecture explores both the intuitive and conscious manifestations of such aesthetics in her art, and how her fascination with the art and culture of Asia shaped the way she lived and thought. Taking as its point of departure the watercolors and paintings generated by his Asian travels, this lecture explores the artist’s lifelong and multifaceted creative engagement with Japan.
