On November 26 & 27 more than 50 resident artists from all over the world open their studios during RijksakademieOPEN 2011.

The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (est. 1870) is an international residency program that aims to develop top talent in the visual arts. Furthermore, the Rijksakademie hosts historical and contemporary art collections, an extensive art library and organizes the Dutch ‘state prize’ the Prix de Rome. Work by former Rijksakademie residents is to be found in prestigious collections, galleries, museums and at biennales both in The Netherlands and abroad.

Apply for the residency 2013 via the online application form at www.rijksakademie.nl, between December 1, 2011 and February 1, 2012.
