Frieze announces the inclusion of Spotlight, a section of Frieze Masters 2012 dedicated to solo presentations. Applications to Spotlight are now open.

Spotlight will give galleries the opportunity to present work made by one artist in the 20th century. It will offer visitors to the fair the chance to see focused presentations of artists working in different parts of the world throughout this period.

Frieze Masters

Frieze Masters is a new international fair for art made before the year 2000, taking place in Regent’s Park, London from 11–14 October 2012 to coincide with Frieze Art Fair.

Frieze Masters will showcase approximately 70 of the world’s leading international galleries. Exhibitors will show work made before the year 2000 ranging from ancient art and old masters through to art of the 20th century.

Designed by Annabelle Selldorf, Frieze Masters will be held in a bespoke structure in Regent’s Park, London within walking distance of Frieze Art Fair.

The fair will offer a unique contemporary perspective on historical art and will include a programme of talks in which major artists, critics and curators will draw out relationships between contemporary and historical art.

How to Apply

Applications to Frieze Masters should be made online. Further information on how to apply can be found at applications.friezemasters.com
