BIOS:
Nelson Brissac Is a philosopher, working on questions concerning art and urbanism. He is the organizer and curator of Arte/Cidade (www.artecidade.org.br), a project of urban interventions in Sao Paulo, Brazil, since 1994. He has published “Arte/Cidade – Intervencoes Urbanas”, Editora SENAC, Sao Paulo, 2002.
Eileen Cohen Well-known contemporary art collector based in New York.
Peter Doroshenko Former director at the Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst – SMAK, Ghent; Doroshenko has held curatorial positions at the Institute of Visual Arts, Milwaukee; Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston; and the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse. He has organised many one-person exhibitions including Vanessa Beecroft, Maurizio Cattelan, Sam Durant, Kendell Geers, and John McCracken. He is currently adjunct professor at the Core Program – Glassell School of Art, Houston.
Jose Jimenez a Spaniard, has a doctorate in Philosophy and has held a chair in Aesthetics since 1983 at Madrid’s Autonoma University. He was Director of the university’s Institute of Aesthetics and Art Theory, edited the magazine Creacion, and was a member of the Editorial Board of Revista de Occidente (1998-2001). Since 1986, in collaboration with Prof. Rafael Argullol, he has co-edited the Metrópolis collection for Tecnos. His extensive bibliography includes many essays for exhibition catalogues and books on contemporary art, and he is a contributing editor to the Spanish daily El Mundo and its weekly colour cultural supplement
Simon Njami Art critic and independent curator. Co-founder and editor-in-chief of Revue Noire (Contemporary African Art, Photography, Literature, Arts). Member of the Advisory board of the Association Française d’Action Artistique [AFAA], Ministere des Affaires Etrangeres. Visual Arts Consultant for the Agence Intergouvernementale de la Francophonie. Visiting Professor at the University of California – San Diego, for African arts, photography, and cinema. He has lectured at Universities over USA, Europe and Africa. Since 1990 he has contributed regularly with essays on African art in catalogues and publications.
Sune Nordgren Founding Director of International Artists Studio Program, Stockholm; of BALTIC, Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead; and of The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Oslo. A member of the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art and the International Association of Art Critics. Exhibitions include Susana Solano; Alberto Giacometti; and Andres Serrano for Malmö Konsthall, and Jaume Plensa for BALTIC.
Hans Ulrich Obrist Curator at le Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. He has been a frequent curator for the museum in progress, Vienna and lecturer at Facolta delle Arti, IUAV in Venice. In 2003 he co-curated Utopia Station at the 2003 Venice Biennial (with Molly Nesbit and Rirkrit Tiravanija). The first volume of his ongoing interview project was recently published by Pitti Imagine/Charta.
David A. Ross Former director of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. Renowned scholar, trustee, champion of contemporary art, and leader of pioneering cultural organisations, he has organised more than 100 exhibitions of 20th century art. He has been involved in the organisation of major international exhibitions including Documenta, the Venice Biennial, and The Carnegie International.
Jerome Sans Since 2000, he has been co-director of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. From 1996-2003, he was Adjunct Curator at the Institute of Visual Arts in Milwaukee, and is now Associate Curator at the Magasin 3 in Stockholm. He has curated or co-curated many international exhibitions, including the Danish Pavilion, at the Venice Biennial; the Taipei Biennial, Taiwan 2000; Tutto Normale, Villa Medicis, 2002; Live, Palais de Tokyo, 2004. As an author and art critic, he has produced books with Daniel Buren, Heidi Slimane, and Araki, and is a contributing editor to several art publications.
Nancy Spector Art critic and Contemporary Art Curator, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York City: She is the author of renowned art publications, among others, Moving Pictures: Contemporary Photography and Video from the Guggenheim Collection, Guggenheim Museum Collection: A to Z. She has also written acclaimed texts on Matthew Barney, Grazia Toderi, Hiroshi Sigimoto.

Marc-Olivier Wahler Artistic Director of the Swiss Institute-contemporary art in New York City. He has curated many renowned exhibitions and is a regular contibutor to specialised contemporary art magazines.
Octavio Zaya Born in the Canary Islands, he is an editor, art critic and curator based in New York. He was editor of the art magazine Balcon published in Madrid, and is currently editor of Atlantica, a bilingual art and culture publication of the Museo Centro Atlantico de Arte Moderno. He was co-curator of Co-curator of the Guadalajara Biennial 2003, Mexico and Documenta XI, Kassel. He is currentl advisor for the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León – MUSAC.
