From 24 to 27 September 2009, art forum berlin will take place for the 14th time (Vernissage for invited guests on 23 September). With this, the International Art Show in Berlin once more in an ideal way starts the autumn season of the European art fairs. Out of more than 300 applications, the international Selection Committee has chosen about 130 leading galleries from 20 countries. (Please find the complete list of the exhibiting galleries at www.art-forum-berlin.de)

40,000 collectors, artists, museum directors, curators and art lovers from all over the world each September visit the International Art Show and 1,700 journalists from 36 countries report on the goods fresh from the market. At art forum berlin, all artistic means of expression can be seen and bought: painting, sculpture, drawings, photography, installations; editions, multiples, performances and video art.

The sectors galleries and focus
With the decision of the Show Management to open the sector galleries for a number of galleries which present art since 1960, it has been possible to strengthen the international art show with regard to content and to make it more varied, more attractive and more interesting for the visitors. Ten projects by internationally known artists will be shown there.
