Everything is not possible, but there is more possible that you can possibly imagine.
Yona Friedman, 2006

Hungarian-French Architect Yona Friedman (b.1923) rose to prominence with his manifesto LArchitecture Mobile and his idea for La Ville Spatiale. His concept of superstructures over existing cities and locations enable future inhabitants to construct their own dwellings.

His ideas go beyond architecture to include sociology, economics, mathematics, planning, film and visual art. The underpinning principle of all of this work is one of individual freedom.

His vision for architecture as social transformation will be brought to the UK with a spectacular architectural intervention for North Westminster Community School, as part of Dis-assembly the culmination of a 3-year long collaboration with the school, which will be realised in collaboration with all of the 2000 pupils in July 2006.

He will talk about his practice, principles and his vision for his forthcoming project in London.
