Documents Magazine

Documents Magazine was produced from 1992 to 2004, first in New York City and later in Los Angeles. Founded by Helen Molesworth, Miwon Kwon, Margaret Sundell, Chris Hoover, and James Marcovitz, the magazine straddled academia and the art world through a critical, interdisciplinary lens on art and culture. The publication’s twenty-three issues can be found today in the Getty Research Institute’s Bibliography of the History of Art and the Alternative Press Index.
