European Kunsthalle

European Kunsthalle

The European Kunsthalle was and is an institution without its own space. It defines itself as a Kunsthalle, because we are interested in the history of this type of institution and its idea of the public. In its specific form as an institution “without its own physical location,” the European Kunsthalle is connected to other places: It always takes place in figurations. Our focus lies on exhibitions, public events, research, and studies in the curatorial.

Currently, the European Kunsthalle is registered as a non-profit organisation in Vienna. Following the idea of situational presence, the European Kunsthalle and its activities will take place in Vienna and elsewhere. It is run by Rike Frank and Vanessa Joan Müller.
