Situated in Sigmund Freud’s former office and apartment, the Sigmund Freud Museum has been welcoming its visitors since 1971. Over time, the museum has developed into a tourist attraction with more than 100,000 visitors per year. It became a crucial place of debate and discussion, providing a platform for research and education projects, as well as a site for hosting scientific events. The building is also home to Europe’s largest library on the discipline of Psychoanalysis. Since 2003, the museum has been managed by the Sigmund Freud Foundation.
