Kassel without Art, Only Kassel

My idea for the exhibition refers to my visit before the opening of the "Documenta X" to Kassel— which seemed to be a very calm, even a bit melancholic (it rained at the time) small town. I think it would be interesting to see Kassel without the "Documenta" show. "Exhibit" Kassel as it is "every day," without the intervention of "visiting" artists, without openings and closings of shows. Kassel without art, only Kassel. I would recommend removing the already existing sculptures and installations for the time of "not-exhibiting." Museums and other exhibition places would be accessible, but empty. "Not-happening" would happen in time of the traditional "Documenta (e.g., XV)"; without the usual press articles about the art, without catalogues from exhibitions for sale in bookstores, and so on. In the local Academy of Fine Arts professors could devote their time to things unrelated to the arts (long walks, maybe?).
