Asian Contemporary Art Week is a series of exhibitions, lectures, performances, and studio visits in celebration of the richness and diversity of Asian contemporary art in New York. Learn more about Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Asian American art each evening in your neighborhood: uptown, Tribeca, Chelsea and Brooklyn. One of the highlights is Dialogues in Asian Contemporary Art, a conversation between Francesco Bonami, director of the last Venice Biennale and curator, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and Vishakha N. Desai, Director of Asia Society and Museum. They will discuss trends in the international contemporary art scene on Friday, November 21 at 6:30 p.m. Performances and a reception will follow. This year, museums and galleries include China Institute Gallery, Goedhuis Contemporary, Gallery Pahk, The Korea Society, Suzanne Mitchell Asian Fine Arts, Japan Society, Gallery 456, Art Projects International, Art in General, Sepia International Inc., Bose Pacia Gallery, Ethan Cohen Fine Arts, Chambers Fine Art, Plum Blossoms Gallery and Goliath Visual Space.

Asian Contemporary Art Week is an initiative of the Asian Contemporary Art Consortium, an alliance of curators, museum directors, gallery owners, educators and collectors. Formed in 2001, the consortium promotes awareness and appreciation of Asian contemporary art in the United States.
