Please join Grey Art Gallery director Lynn Gumpert for this series of informal evening gatherings held on the first Wednesday of each month the gallery is open to the public. This salon also features a gallery talk with Anne Leonard, Mellon Projects Curator, Smart Museum of Art, University of Chicago. Talk begins at 6:30 pm and is free with gallery admission. No reservation necessary.

CURRENTLY ON VIEW:

Paper Museums: The Reproductive Print in Europe, 15001800

Exploring the role of reproductive prints in circulating works of art before the advent of photography and the Internet, Paper Museums traces their history from their rise in Germany and Italy to their flourishing in the Netherlands, France, and England. Among works included are exquisite examples by Hendrick Goltzius and Giorgio Ghisi as well as celebrated sets promoting works by Claude Lorrain and J.M.W. Turner. On view on the lower level is Room with a View, an installation by contemporary Italian artist Andrea Facco.

Exhibitions remain on view through December 3, 2005.
