ART iT
Thanks to its growing popularity and support, Japan's first bilingual (English/Japanese) art quarterly, ART iT (published by ART iT, Co. Ltd., executive producer: Imafuku Eijiro; editor-in-chief: Ozaki Tetsuya), released its eleventh edition on April 17. ART iT is also happy to announce that the release of this edition marks the launch of full-scale distribution in the United States and Canada through the region's leading distributor of periodicals, Ingram Periodicals Inc. ART iT covers now bear US and Canadian dollar list prices, meaning that besides Japanese bookstores at which the magazine has been available to date, ART iT will also be available at major bookstore chains including Borders and Hastings as well as art-specialty and other independent bookshops. In addition to the above, and of course Japan, ART iT is currently distributed in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Germany and France, and we expect distribution throughout Europe and Oceania to continue to expand. We ask and thank you for your ongoing support. About ART It Art and culture from the Asia-Pacific region is now the focus of growing world attention, and yet "excess import" of information from the West continues to deluge us. To make matters worse, information exchange and communication within the Asia-Pacific region is scant at best. Since its launch in October 2003, ART iT has focused on presenting in-depth Japanese and Asian-Pacific contemporary art in an attempt to make a radical shift in those conditions. We remain committed to contributing to greater international understanding with art as our platform.
