'Atget was emphatically not an artist, yet he worked incessantly for 40
years and left some 10,000 photos. "Don't put my names on it, these are
simply documents I make", he said.'
'Odermatt has never considered himself an artist. Originally trained as
a
baker and confectioner, he has said that - unlike photography - "the
manual work of mixing, shaping and presenting baked goods and sweets was
a
truly creative endeavour"'.

police photographer Arnold Odermatt and Kate Bush reflects on accidental
art of Eugene Atget, E.J.Bellocq and Enrique Metinides.
