Fargfabriken is pleased to present two new exhibitions:
PAUSE
a performance and an exhibition by Jean-Pierre Khazem in a space by
Andreas Angelidakis
March 16 - May 19
Fargfabriken, Stockholm
PAUSE is much more than an exhibition. It is the result of a process
that has been going on for several years, in which Fargfabriken has had
a close dialogue with photographer and artist Jean-Pierre Khazem from
Paris, and with architect Andreas Angelidakis from New York. What was
initially a project of fairly limited ambitions has, in time, grown into
what will be Fargfabriken's hitherto biggest production. It brings
together performance, art, photography, architecture, design and much
more - not side by side, but together, as the various components of one
and the same overall project. This will also be reflected in a book
which will be produced in connection with the exhibition, as well as in
web productions and video documentation.
PAUSE is curated by Jan Aman of Fargfabriken. Co-curator is Nikola
Jankovic, Paris.
PAUSE is produced by Fargfabriken in collaboration with Skanska Nya hem,
Alcro-Beckers, Tryckhus 2, Svenskt Papper, the French Embassy in
Stockholm and AFAA, Buffalo Digital,Iorop, Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin
among others. Fargfabriken's main sponsor is the Linden Group.
Fargfabriken's collaboration partner 2002 is Alcro-Beckers.

Adelle Lutz
UNDER/COVERED
Fargfabriken
March 16 - May 19
Based in New York, Adelle Lutz is best known for her costume work for
the screen and stage. She began this varied career with Robert Wilson
and lastly with Paul Auster while working with many in-between. Adelle
Lutz has also worked directly with magazines - one memorable
collaboration was for Harper's Magazine in which the forum question was
posed "if Jesus Christ came to the USA for a one week tour, how would we
sell him?"
At Fargfabriken, Adelle Lutz will show four separate groupings with one
common element: the use human hair as the main expressive component.
Visitors will first encounter Corporate Adam & Eve - two mannequins, one
male and one female, one wearing a flesh-toned suit and the other a
different skin colored dress - both with gender-appropriate body hair
portraits on the outside of their clothing. Another piece consists of
three chairs - one blonde, one brunette and one redhead. There is also a
series of drawings labelled The Tornado Drawings, and finally The
Sleeper series - small black velvet beds, on which lie pillows adorned
with texts and images embroidered in hair.
