January 10 is the application deadline or the priority deadline to be considered for a Dean’s Scholarship for most graduate programs. However, each program has unique application instructions. View application instructions and deadlines.

Master of Architecture (MArch)
This three-year NAAB-accredited program combines contemporary studio practice with design history and theory, technology, and representation.

MFA Design and Technology
Students in this studio-based program investigate visual, interactive, and narrative aspects of design technology with an emphasis on software programming and computation. This program is also available at the Paris campus.

MS Design and Urban Ecologies
Through research and fieldwork, students gain a broad understanding of the forces that influence urban growth and development. Working in multidisciplinary teams, they design processes to transform cities.

MA Design Studies
This new program is an opportunity to explore design as both a field of scholarly research and an agent of social change. This program is also available at the Paris campus.

MFA Fashion Design and Society
Both interdisciplinary and international in scope, this academy for advanced studies in fashion design trains a small group of world-class designers.

MA Fashion Studies
Students in this research-based program develop a critical understanding of fashion and its complex global intersections with identities, histories, and cultures in the contemporary world. This program is also available at the Paris campus.

MFA Fine Arts
Students in the MFA in Fine Arts program acquire a comprehensive understanding of both the material elements that compose artworks and the ideas that make them meaningful.

MA History of Decorative Arts and Design
Offered jointly with the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, this program focuses on European and American decorative arts and design from the Renaissance to the present. This program is also available at the Paris campus.

MFA Interior Design
This program builds on 100 years of Parsons’s leadership in the interior design field and offers links to graduate programs in architecture, product design, and lighting design. A three-year double major MFA Interior/Lighting Design is also offered.

MFA Lighting Design
This program examines the relationships between theory, technical application, energy conservation, and social and environmental factors in both electric and natural light. A three-year double major MFA Interior/Lighting Design is also offered.

MArch/MFA Lighting Design Dual Degree
Students pursuing the MArch/MFA LD track expand their knowledge of form, program, site, materials, and the role of lighting in structure.

MFA Photography
The graduate Photography program functions as a 21st-century studio and think tank where students work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

MS Strategic Design and Management
This rigorous industry-focused program prepares managers to lead design process–driven organizations. Offered online and on campus in New York City.

MA Theories of Urban Practice
This new research-driven graduate program prepares students to guide the transformation of cities as strategic leaders of community groups, foundations, educational institutions, think tanks, public agencies, private firms, and more.

MFA Transdisciplinary Design
Working in interdisciplinary teams, students address pressing social issues and emerge with a portfolio of projects showcasing design as a process for transforming the way we live in the 21st century.

Graduate Certificate in Design Business
This new graduate certificate program consists of six online courses in design management, business, innovation, and leadership that address issues confronting design-intensive and creative industries.
