One-Year Visiting Professorship in Art History, Art Theory,
Studio Arts, Performance Art and/or Music

The Department of Fine Arts and Art History at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon, invites applications for the Mary Fox Whittlesey Visiting Professorship in the fields of Art History, Art Theory, Studio Arts, Performance Art and/or Music for a non-renewable period of one year, starting September 1, 2013. The department offers both major and minor degrees in Art History and Studio Arts and minor degrees in Theatre and Music.
Candidates will be expected to teach two to three courses per semester depending on seniority, and contribute to the development of the department. The language of instruction is English.
Applicants should hold a terminal degree (MFA in Theatre and Fine Arts, MA or MM in Music and PhD in Art History and Theory). The department is especially interested in applicants with expertise in cross-disciplinary approach at the crossroads of Art History and Theory, Studio and Performance Arts and Music.
