Opportunity for Graduate Students in Curatorial Studies
Graduate Studentship and Research Assistant at the University of Regina for an art/film curatorial project in Interdisciplinary Studies (Media Production and Studies, and Visual Arts) investigating concepts of expanded cinema. Includes a stipend of 12,000 CAD per year, for two years (September 1, 2012 to August 30, 2014) under the supervision of Dr. Christine Ramsay and Professor Rachelle Knowles, with independent curator Elizabeth Matheson (Strandline Curatorial Collective) and Timothy Long (Adjunct Professor and Head Curator, MacKenzie Art Gallery). Research duties will include travel to venues such as Documenta, ZKM, Manifesta 9 and Cinematheque Ontario to train in researching curatorial models. Other duties will include online research and literature review, copy editing, and administrative/organizational tasks serving the project, as well as teaching assistant duties in a 4th level undergraduate course in curatorial studies. MFA in Visual Arts: Intermedia, Photo-Media, Print-Media, Ceramics, Painting/Drawing and Sculpture
Studio art practices are contextualized within contemporary practices and critical discourse. Students meet with studio faculty on an individual basis within generous studio accommodation. The program is intentionally small (maximum of five students are accepted each year) allowing for intensive interaction between students and faculty, and culminates with a solo exhibition at the MacKenzie Art Gallery.

MA/MFA in Theatre
Design your own degree in the theory and practice of Theatre and performance, including script development, dramaturgy, design, directing, community engaged practice and indigenous performance via a Special Case Masters program; or, alternatively, as one aspect of study within the MA/MFA Interdisciplinary Studies in Fine Arts program. Our two stages, rehearsal halls, studios and workshops are professionally equipped.
