The new Director will provide creative, intelligent and visionary leadership, encourage high-calibre programs of national reputation, promote excellence in teaching and awareness of contemporary practices and technologies, and encourage opportunities for interdisciplinary study. The Director will continue to raise the profile of the School both within the University and externally.
Reporting to the Vice-President (Academic) and Provost, and a member of the Dean’s and Directors’ Council of the University, the Director will be a person of vision, a contemporary thinker, a teacher and scholar in a fine arts field. S/he will bring a proven track record in higher education leadership and administration, and be able to communicate, see connections, reach out and establish good relationships with partners at all levels. Candidates will have an advanced degree in the field or an equivalent combination of education and experience commensurate with the role.
