The application process to participate in ARCOlisboa 2018 is now open. The fair will once again become one of the major social and art event of the Portuguese capital from May 17 to 20. The historic space of the Cordoaria Nacional will host the fair’s third edition, hinging on the quality of the gallery’s artistic contents and the cultural vibrancy of Lisbon.
The General Programme will be made up of 50 international galleries selected by the Organising Committee made up of Juana de Aizpuru, Galería Juana de Aizpuru; Nuno Centeno, Galería Murias Centeno; Cristina Guerra, Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art and Giorgio Persano, Galería Giorgio Persano.
Following the success of last year’s edition, ARCOlisboa will again provide a space for young galleries open for less than seven years in the Opening section, that will enjoy the participation of around 12 galleries again selected by João Laia.
The opening hours of this event, to be inaugurated on the afternoon of May 16, will adapt to the needs of the cities’ cultural institutions, professionals and the public, opening from 2 to 9pm every day, and from noon to 6pm on Sunday, May 20.
The Torreão Nascente will again house the Forum, to include a complete overview of the current, contemporary, international art scene. Attendance of collectors and other agents linked to the art world will make an intense debate programme possible, providing a platform for analysis and reflection.
In addition to the Fair attractions, the city’s considerable artistic and cultural programme will draw the interest of international collectors, eminent professionals and the general public.
