EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, is accepting applications for its upcoming fifth edition at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall, running September 22–25, 2016. Maintaining its ardent commitment to quality in both the main fair and EXPOSURE gallery sections, EXPO CHICAGO will once again present leading international exhibitors and programming. The EXPOSURE section affords younger galleries the opportunity to participate with special presentations of one or two artists. All of the submitted applications will be thoroughly reviewed by the 2016 Selection Committee for quality of work and unique booth proposals.
With over 35,000 visitors attending the 2015 edition, EXPO CHICAGO continues to build global momentum, attracting regional, national and international collectors, curators, writers and art enthusiasts to Chicago each fall. The annual exposition benefits greatly from the unwavering support of Chicago’s civic and cultural community, and strategic exhibition alignments with leading museums and cultural institutions, along with citywide events that will be announced in the spring.
Additionally, EXPO CHICAGO remains committed to presenting critically acclaimed onsite programming and publications, including /Dialogues, EXPO VIDEO, IN/SITU and IN/SITU Outside, Editions + Books, and THE SEEN, alongside the special exhibitions program, featuring collaborations with international museums, institutions, organizations and non-profits. In addition, the second annual Curatorial Forum will return to EXPO CHICAGO/2016, inviting top curators from the greater Midwest, national and international institutions.
