With the exhibition Juan Miró – Graphic Works, Sculpture, Works on Paper, Galerie Ernst Hilger presents works by one of the foremost artists of the 20th century. Although impossible to place in any particular artistic movement, with works ranging from Dadaism, Surrealism, to Abstraction, he is regarded as one of the leading representatives of Modernism. As a painter, sculptor, graphic artist and ceramicist, he developed a singular visual language, in which the female figure, the moon, the bird and the eye are recurring motifs.
His works are part of all major museums and collections. In addition, the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona is dedicated to the presentation of the complexity of his oeuvre.
