Curatorial concept
The exhibition series continues this summer with the curatorial concept ‘Bring A Friend,’ which pays tribute to the importance that collaborations play in the Street Art scene. We’ve invited five distinguished artists and asked them to bring a fellow Street Artist friend that they have always wanted to collaborate with. While the works on the streets of Vienna will be ‘joint ventures,’ the gallery portion of the show will be presenting solo works by each artist.

Recap
In the summer of 2013 the Street Art exhibition series Cash, Cans & Candy was launched. In its inaugural year it presented works by 50 Austrian and international artists from all continents on 800 square meters of exhibition space. 3,600 visitors saw the exhibition, 37 artists came to Vienna, 36 murals were created throughout the city, using 1,000 spray cans and over 800 liters of paint. Both pioneers like Robbie Conal as well as established street artists such as FAILE , Shepard Fairey, Faith47 and RETNA—to name a few—took part in this large-scale exhibition venture.

The artists—the collaborations
French artists C215 and Epsylon Point form one team for this year’s edition of Cash, Cans & Candy. The Austrian legend NYCHOS will collaborate with German artist friend CONE. The Los Angeles-based artist collective CYRCLE will team up with US artist Gaia. UK artists Lakwena Maciver and Emily Evans will paint together, while Israeli artist Know Hope will collaborate with the Italian 2501. JANA & JS and the Dutch artist collective Graphic Surgery will team up.
