The 5th edition of Ch.ACO, the only Fair of Contemporary Art in Chile, will take place from September 26th to 30th at the Mapocho Station Cultural Centre in Santiago.
Ch.ACO is a boutique art fair and the most international platform for visual art and contemporary culture in the country. In 2012 Ch.ACO featured a selection of 30 galleries coming from Europe, the United States and South America, 17 publishing spaces, and 100 VIP international guests. In five days more than 400 artworks were sold and an astounding 43.000 visitors attended the fair.
For its 2013 edition, Ch.ACO has developed and strengthened its identity, consolidating its many programs and investing in new initiatives.
The International Selection Committee of Ch.ACO 2013 is composed by José Martínez Calvo and Luis Valverde Espejo, Espacio Minimo, Madrid; Alejandra Von Hartz, Alejandra Von Hartz Gallery, Miami, and Christián Viveros-Fauné, The Village Voice, New York.
The VIP Program is an exclusive program dedicated to a selection of international guests. It features visits to private collections, museums, artist studios and galleries, tours on demand, and parties, cocktails and special events.

The Conversation Program is a series of discussions directed in 2013 by Gonzalo Pedraza, curator of Matucana 100, the most dynamic cultural center of Santiago. The focus of the program will be on collecting: Chilean and international guests will share their knowledge and experience around public and private collections.

Entre Ch.ACO and Finland Award is a collaboration with Vodka Finlandia aimed at supporting Chilean contemporary art. Three prizes will be awarded by an international jury to three Chilean artists under 40, and the first will receive the commission of a new work, an international residency and the publication of a monographic catalog.
Project Room is a curatorial project that explores the relations between countries and cultures of the Pacific coast.
Ch.ACO will celebrate this year its fifth edition with a new look designed by the international agency www.basedesign.com

Founded in 2009, Ch.ACO Art Fair is a platform aimed at the internationalization of Chilean contemporary art and at the development and growth of the Chilean art market. In its four years of history, Chaco has brought people closer to contemporary art building up knowledge, curiosity and opportunities in the context of an ever-progressing country.
