Cassina Projects is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibition space in Milano in September 2019. Located in Via Mecenate 76/45 inside the historic Caproni airplane factory—a fascinating site of industrial archaeology dating back to 1920—the gallery extends over an area of 1250 square metres and will include two exhibition spaces, viewing rooms and offices.
In occasion of the opening Cassina Projects presents two solo shows: The Monoform show by Gerold Miller in Gallery 1 and Paintings and Drawings 2009-2019 by Marcel Eichner in Gallery 2.
The exhibition space for its size and for its layout on two floors allows to organize simultaneously two exhibitions, independent of each other but linked by a ideal exhibition itinerary.
The objective of Cassina Projects is to continue developing the work done so far in the gallery in New York and to create a new destination for contemporary art that will enliven the Milanese art scene, where artists, collectors, curators and art lovers will be involved in initiatives that go beyond gallery’s activities: lectures and talks focus on artists from different generations, film screenings and performances.
Gerold Miller: The Monoform show

The Monoform Show is a solo show by Gerold Miller, one of the most internationally recognized German artists of his generation whose work blurs the line between Minimalist and Conceptual art. The exhibition itinerary develops through a retrospective that presents a selection of works from the “Monoform series for the first time: from the first one dated 2014 to more recent works.
Marcel Eichner: Paintings and Drawings 2009-2019
Gallery 2 (first floor)
Paintings and Drawings 2009-2019 is the first solo show in Italy by Marcel Eichner.
Created in different years and moments between Berlin and Barcelona, the paintings on display interact with each other suggesting that the search for tranquillity is a lonely road. Surrounded by altered fragments of language and dripping ink, the characters depicted on a surreal scale are human and semi-human characters, friends of the artist, self-portraits, the reworking of scenes of his everyday life that populate undisclosed habitats.
