In Paris During FIAC
FIAC week will be marked by a rich and diverse range of artistic and cultural events: solo exhibitions by Edward Hopper at the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, Antoni Muntadas and Manuel Álvarez Bravo at the Jeu de Paume, Bertrand Lavier, Adel Abdessemed and Mircea Cantor at the Centre Pompidou, Urs Fischer at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Roman Ondak and Bertille Bak at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Fabrice Hyber and Ryan Gander at the Palais de Tokyo together with Neil Beloufa, 2011 winner of the Audi Talents Awards/Contemporary Art, and Helen Marten, 2011 winner of the Prix Lafayette.
An exciting focus on collecting practices will be possible through the simultaneous presentation of Fruit de la passion at the Centre Pompidou andimportant private collections such as Michael Werner at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Giuliana and Tommaso Setari at La maison rouge, the Kadist Collection and Rosenblum Collection and Friends.
Some 3000 exceptional objects spanning 1300 years of history and 3 continents will be on view at the newly inaugurated Department of Islamic Art of the Louvre Museum which also presents Raphaël, The Last Years.

Works by Mircea Cantor, Aaron Curry, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jürgen Drescher, Jeppe Hein, Mark Handforth, Tadashi Kawamata, William Kentridge, Marc Quinn, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Susumu Shingu and Jean Maneval‘s Maison Bulle.

Works by Yto Barrada, Dominique Blais, Odile Decq, Mark Dion, Bertrand Lamarche, Nicolas Milhé, David Nash, Lucy + Jorge Orta, Jean Tinguely, herman de vries and an exceptional performative projectby On Kawara, One Million Years.
The cycle of conferences “Art and the environment: a question of taste or science?” will be held at the Auditorium of theGrande Galerie de l’Evolution in collaboration with COAL (Coalition for Art and Sustainable Development).

Place Vendôme
In collaboration with the Comité Vendôme and its members, FIAC is pleased to present a new programme of outdoor works in the prestigious Place Vendôme. This inaugural edition will presentthree monumental sculptures by Jaume Plensa.

Conferences / Performances
Ouvertures/Openings 2012 presents performances by Matt Mullican, Grand Magasin and a concert by Hassan Khan in the Auditorium of the Louvre Museum.
Interventions in the performative mode together with a selection of artists’ films will be presented daily at the Grand Palais Auditorium. Performances by Dora Garcia, Elika Hedayat & Tamara Erde are programmed together with films by Candice Breitz, Etienne Chambaud, Antonio Muntadas, Elodie Pong, Susumu Shingu and Emily Wardill.
In addition FIAC presents a cycle ofthree conferencesprogrammed by Patricia Falguières and Elisabeth Lebovici at the Grand Amphitheatre du Monde Anglophone.
Associated Projects
An ensemble of outdoor projects and installations will be presented by the R4, the new fine arts and visual arts hub on the Ile Seguin, in association with FIAC.
