Southwest Contemporary announces the first-annual Field Guide, a dedicated guidebook for the arts throughout New Mexico. Covering Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos, the Field Guide is a new comprehensive resource for discovering art galleries, museums, performing arts and design spaces, as well as nonprofit arts organizations and creative professionals including arts vendors and consultants. The Field Guide also includes a juried selection of featured artists, showcasing the work of twenty-five New Mexico artists who represent some of the diverse and exceptional work being created across the state. Additionally, an events calendar lists in-person and online events through spring 2021.

The publication is organized by arts district: illustrated with maps, images, and brief descriptions of the leading arts organizations in the area, it provides a useful resource for both visitors and New Mexico locals alike. The Field Guide features a clean, easy-to-read-design with cover art by Santa Fe artist Natalie Christensen, whose photography captures the minimalist, earth-tone architecture of the Southwest. The Field Guide will continue to be published annually in early summer, serving as the go-to guide for all exhibitions, events, festivals, and fairs to attend and destinations to visit during New Mexico’s peak art season (July through October).

The Field Guide is instantly available in digital PDF format. Printed copies may be purchased at southwestcontemporary.com (shipping available within the United States).
