A Dialogue on the City: Between 0 and 1
As part of its TALKS series, WPA\C invites you to a dialogue between the co-curators for the recently opened Media_City Seoul 2000 about the integration of artist projects as public ventures within a digital city. In a comprehensive historical survey into the development of media art, London speaks about the validity of the work of such artists as Acconci and Nauman to present day understanding and interpretation of media arts. Obrist provides an alternative curatorial perspective, approaching the exhibition on the premise of the idea of City Vision/Clip City exploring interdisciplinarity and the ideas emphasized by Rem Koolhaas and “network conditions.”
