Temple University’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching recently expanded its successful Teaching in Higher Education Certificate to add a concentration on teaching in the creative disciplines. Registrants may elect to complete the fully online, six-credit Teaching in Higher Education Certificate or the nine-credit Teaching in Higher Education Certificate for the Creative Disciplines. The new Certificate concentration addresses how our pedagogical choices can best serve our students’ development as professionals in their chosen creative field and is designed to meet the needs of post-secondary instructors teaching classes and studios in art, design, dance, music, creative writing, media arts, theater, and related disciplines.
By enrolling in the Teaching in Higher Education Certificate for the Creative Disciplines, you will:
–become a more effective educator
–improve your students’ learning and creative development
–develop high-quality teaching materials, activities, and assessments for classroom and studio courses
–incorporate technology to support student learning
–build your curriculum vitae
–network with other educators
Certificate students learn from experienced professors who have participated in rigorous programs at Temple’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT).
