Common Field is a visual arts organizing network. Common Field connects experimental, non-commercial, contemporary art organizations and organizers, providing a platform for visibility, peer-to-peer learning, exchange, and collaboration. Common Field’s projects include annual convenings, research, resources, chapters, forums, and advocacy that develop a more accessible and resourced arts organizing field. Common Field’s membership includes alternative art spaces and projects, publications, digital exhibition venues, festivals, residencies, collectives, collaboratives, and individuals. These members create interdisciplinary and hybrid forms for visual art production, reception, and exchange, generating responsive, grassroots art cultures.
