The National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries (NICAI) is a faculty of the University of Auckland, New Zealand’s word-ranked University. NICAI is a centre of creative excellence bringing together Elam School of Fine Arts, the School of Architecture and Planning, the School of Music, Dance Studies and the Centre for Art Research. Founded in 1883, the University of Auckland is the country’s largest university with over 40,000 students. The main campus is in the heart of Auckland city and comprises four specialist campuses.
