The Borås Museum of Modern Art is known for its national as well as international exhibitions and for its rich collection of Swedish contemporary art. The museum consists of three floors divided into several exhibition spaces and has educational activities for children and adults. The museum also has a regional assignment to collect, preserve and display moving images. 

The International Sculpture Biennial in Borås—also known as the city of sculptures—is organized every two years by the Borås Museum of Modern Art along with the City of Borås.
