As a non-commercial art center, HALLE 14 is a climate-neutral venue, space for thought and communication for contemporary art. It has been operating in a listed industrial building on the grounds of the Leipzig cotton spinning mill since 2002. The spinning mill site has developed into a dense art sociotope with a visitor center and library, an exhibition hall, over a dozen galleries and project rooms, an art education room, 130 artist studios, various creative offices, a cinema, and café. Together with the countless project rooms in the surrounding city districts, it forms an enriching environment.
