KU Linz Private University is a vibrant place of excellent scientific research and teaching. The Faculty of Philosophy and Art History offers a wide range of topics from Anthropology to Aesthetics, from Religious Studies to Urban Art, from Ethics to Global Art History. It guarantees supervision for providing BA, MA as well as PhD and Post-Doc projects. Our Art History programs focus on modern and contemporary art and architecture. The variety of analytical methodologies employed combine historical knowledges with theoretical reflections with a special emphasis on contemporary continental philosophy and trans-cultural approaches. Courses explore diverse manifestations of Western and non-Western art particularly in relation to the social, political, cultural and religious contexts.
